I am requesting your support in resolving the issue concerning Home Depot Canada for the poor and wrongful installation of a Patio Door at my house and Home Depot refusing to replace the wrong door. I signed a contract with Home Depot Canada (Oakville) to replace the patio door of my house at 5401 Glen Erin Drive, Mississauga. Home Depot contractor was supposed to complete the installation latest by September 3, 2020. After a delay of about 4-weeks, I called Home Deport and requested that since Home Depot is unable to fulfill its obligations, the contract may be cancelled and the advance returned. The lady on the phone told me that she will discuss with her Manager and come back in a few days. After a few days, she called to let me know that the delay was due to COVID-19 and now the door has arrived, and the installation will be completed on Saturday October 10, 2020 (Thanksgiving weekend). On the day of the installation, the installers deliberately removed my door by breaking into pieces and did not bring in the new door till the old door was completely destroyed and removed. When the new door was revealed, I told the installer that this is a wrong door and of wrong size. The installer told me that I have 2 choices, let them install the wrong door or they can leave without installation and leave the wall opening open posing security issues and whole house subject to cold weather. They also suggested that we can discuss the problems with Home Depot and the contractor office on Tuesday after Thanksgiving. I tried to call the contractor office and Home Deport. After several attempts, I managed to contact the Home Deport doors section where a gentlemen told me that this is between me and the contractor and Home Depot has nothing to do with this. As planned by the contractor and Home Depot, I submitted to the blackmailing and allowed the installer to install the wrong door. The wall cavity at my house is 81-inches and the new door with frame is about 74-inches thus allowing a gap of about 6-inches above which is covered with a flimsy metal sheet from the outside and a thin wood decorated wood inside with no insulation etc. The glass is also the wrong type. This door not only pose a security threat but also loss of heating and cooling is also anticipated. The complaint was submitted to Home Deport asking replacement of this door or complete refund so that I can engage a competent contractor to replace this door. A complaint was also filed with BBB. Home Depot asked for a copy of agreement and pictures of the door which were provided. On November 2, 2020 an email was received from Home Depot informing me that this is a correct door and offered $700 for the metal stress and offered to modify the existing door so as to bring it to the door committed This modification will be done by the same blackmailing contractor. I declined this offer and asked for the replacement of the door or full refund. I also told Home Depot that this blackmailing contractor will never my house again. On the other hand, Home Depot informed that the new door is the correct door and a gap of only 2.5 inch exists which is standard (lied since the opening is about 6-inch). BBB closed this case without informing me. I have requested BBB to open the complaint again. I have not received any response from BBB and Home Depot on this subject. It seems Home Depot has moved on ignoring my complaint. If needed, I shall submit the copies of the contract and the pictures of the door

Refund problem

Constantly refunding my purchase and then recharging me for the same item. This has gone on for two months. They say their not doing it. Ho rseshit!!! THEY ARE LYING THRU THEIR TEETH TO ME.

Cancellation of order # 022376****

I ordered a Dewalt Leaf Blower yesterday on-line for pickup at your Halifax store. Payment was accepted, as was my requested pickup time of today. But today I got a " order has been cancelled" e-mail with no explanation, nor was I given the opportunity to wait for the ordered item if it was delayed. This is very poor customer service, and hopefully it can be corrected, Thank you Wayne

Poor customer service and inaccurate price listing

Made three separate purchases this date. Prices were incorrect on two occasions. Failed to comply with scanner accuracy policy as outlined by Canadian retail counsel. Staff were unconcerned. How many people get taken advantage of because they dont review their receipt at time of purchase. Staff were not professional or lacked general knowledge. Very disappointed in what is usually one of my favorite vendors. I would appreciate being contacted by management.

Wrong part not replaced for realflame fire place corner tv unit

Still waiting for wrong part. Have not heard from Home Depot working with realflame out of Quebec. No rush on their part Unit still sitting in my living room half together. Missing part number 7 in oak Thinking about returning completely, and ordering another will be faster

No cause for cc charge

Hello, My card ( Mastercard ending with 6974) was charged with C$124 on Sept 11. I was out of the country then, have never ever visited a Canada Depot store, never shopped on the website. The bank says all they have is it was from merchant CANADA DEPOT - NORTH YORK, ON. There is no order number or any other information Please let me know how can I get refund for the same. Thanks

They did an amazing job as the customer service representative I got the third time was quite proactive and sorted everything out.

Billing

ordered 1 air conditioning unit and was delivered 2. Returned the 2nd unit and have been billed for both. Unable to get refunded after several months of text, emails and phone calls. will never order online from them again. Its a nightmare thats been going on since April

Disappointed how van rental works at Home Depot

Dear PissedConsumer Team, No, nobody contacted me about the issue from Home Depot, as of yet. Before asking Pissed Consumer for help I talked to the Tool rental unit at the local Home Depot and my complaint was arrogantly dismissed by showing me that the rental agreement does not guarantee anything. That was not a pleasant experience and worth another complaint on its own. Please let me know what should do now - wait for Home Depot to contact me, wait for your follow-up action, file complaints with Home Depot at the Regional Office (Hamilton) or file a Small Claims Court Case? Poor Customer Support Following Large Purchase

Still on hold. Bonus - sms texting with a bot, transferred into different queue...

still waiting - at least no hold music, BUT still texting with a bot waiting for *something* to happen... hopefully we make contact during working hours, otherwise we may have to repeat the process again tomorrow.

Purchased LG Washtower. Delivered by Canada Cartage. Warranty required delivery staff to hook up unit. Told we didnt have correct hose kit. Delivery team left with old washer and dryer, told us to contact store didn't wait fo us to get correct hose kit (20 mins). Have contacted store, they suggested we contact customer service. On hold last night. On hold again this morning +5hours WTF.

User's recommendation: Don't buy from home depot - not support if something goes wrong. You'll be waiting days or on hold for hours....
